A Night in Town
Saturday, 17 September, 18:30 till late
Meet us in front of the hotel and come with us to Garmisch-Partenkirchen Irish-Pub and later to dance at the John's Club. Locals will lead the way to Garmisch-Partenkirchen!

Hiking activity
Sunday, 18 September, 10:00-16:00
Here's your chance to enjoy Garmisch-Partenkirchen beautiful mountain area with our hiking activity (easy track). Comfortable shoes and rain jacket are required. Bring a small backpack for carrying water and consider bringing sun cream, sun glasses, sweater, shorts (weather may change very fast) and food (optional).

Locals will meet you in front of the Mercure hotel (10:00) and will lead you to the walk through the beautiful gorge "Partnachklamm" (admission fee 3.5 Euros; walking time ~ 40 min). The locals will take you up to the summit of Eckbauer Mountain. Here, you can have lunch at Berggasthof or simply eat your own food.

On the way down to the hotel (approx. 1h 30min) we will visit the Ski jumping stadium *(20 min) and we will pass the House of Richard Strauss Institute.
The activity ends with the possibility to have a coffee break afternoon and tasting one of many delicious German cakes!

Sunday afternoon is time to take a break from science! Suggested options:
1) Chill-out activity: relax and swimming at "Kainzenbad" (towel and swimming suit required, admission fee 2.5 euros)
2) Walking around in down-town Partenkirchen
